PACS Systems Administrator-Radiology
Education Required
- Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of STEM-focused education and experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience working with computer hardware and operating systems.
- Basic knowledge and experience of networking and computer operating systems.
- Demonstrated high mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Driver's license and ability to meet the University of Iowa Fleet Management Driver’s safety requirements.
- Ability to participate in on-call rotations and be able to return to UIHC within a 30-minute commute time to and from UIHC.
Desirable Qualifications
- Working knowledge of network routing and switching technologies.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy.
- Basic knowledge of radiology imaging technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to install, maintain and repair high performance workstation hardware.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating Systems.
- Working knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
- Demonstrated excellent problem-solving ability in order to resolve issues and insure functionality.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently or within a team environment.
- Experience working in a medical center environment.
- Experience in the assembly, installation, troubleshooting and repair of computer hardware and software.
