Senior Application Developer – Epic Prelude
Position Qualifications:
Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and related application development/support experience
Required Qualifications
• Experience in the development and/or support of applications used by non-technical customers to support and enhance business processes, typically 5-7 years for Senior Developer in leadership roles including experience with programming tools and a comprehensive understanding of database technologies (e.g., Caché, SQL Server)
• Experience contributing to the support, configuration and development of at least one healthcare enterprise application or area of functionality
• Demonstrated experience working with end-users to define system requirements, understand business needs and convert business requirements into functional/technical specifications for complex integrated systems build
• Experience working with application owners and/or vendors to define system and integration requirements to meet business needs
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with basic project management
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical staff
• Demonstrated job-related experience and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment
Desirable Qualifications:
• Experience supporting patient registration, real-time eligibility, and/or pre-certification systems in an ambulatory clinic or hospital setting
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with any of the following healthcare workflows: patient registration, real-time eligibility, pre-certification
• Epic certification related but not limited to the following: Epic Prelude, Epic Real-Time Eligibility (RTE), Epic Cadence, Epic Grand Central
• Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical staff on system implementation projects
• Proven ability to write application test scripts
