Position Qualifications:

 

Education Required

 

Bachelor’s in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and related application development/support experience. 

Experience Requirements

 

  • Experience in the development, configuration and/or support of applications used by non-technical customers to support and enhance healthcare workflows processes. Typically, 5-7 years for a Senior Application Developer role.

  • Experience working with application owners and/or vendors to define system requirements, integration requirements and understand business needs.

  • Ability to work independently with a strong focus on customer service and acting as the primary point-of-contact for customer relationship concerns.

    Experience with basic project management as demonstrated by the ability to simultaneously lead multiple small to medium projects and initiatives within a complex environment, managing customer relations, project deadlines, escalation, resolution and program delivery.

  • A valid driver’s license and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability communicating technical information effectively to technical and non-technical staff at the verbal, written and presentation levels.

  • Demonstrated job-related experience and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with any of the following workflows: care coordination, scheduling, referrals, ambulatory/inpatient nursing or physician documentation.

  • Epic certification related but not limited to the following:  EpicCare Link, EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, Epic HIM Release of Information.

  • Experience authoring training materials and conducting training sessions for groups of various sizes.

  • Strong problem solving and process improvement skills for managing service delivery, including developing workflows and new business processes.

  • Experience providing on-call EHR support in an ambulatory or hospital setting.

  • Proven ability to write application test scripts
