Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.

Experience Requirements

  • Typically, 5-7 years of Microsoft server experience in IT systems infrastructure design, implementation and operational support in a complex computing environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with configuration and administration of Microsoft Office 365 products including Exchange Online, Exchange Online Protection, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Adept with email security including, but not limited to: DMARC, sender base reputation filtering, anti-spam filtering, anti-virus filtering, advanced malware protection, content filtering, spam quarantine, email encryption, and message encryption via secure SMTP over transport layer security.
  • Knowledge of networking infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, VPN, etc. and their relation to unified communications design and performance.
  • Experience with configuring, troubleshooting, and managing systems and servers.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in team environments with a strong focus on customer service and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and strong interpersonal skills.   Ability to effectively document procedures and instructions.

Desired Qualifications

  • Hands on experience with network load-balancers and configuration of resources that utilize this technology.
  • Proficient in programming with a scripting language such as PowerShell.
  • Familiar with mobile messaging technologies such as Microsoft ActiveSync or Spok.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Skype for Business 2015 or 2019 and experience in administration & troubleshooting enterprise voice
  • Experience configuring, troubleshooting and managing an eFax environment including, but not limited to: supporting features such as fax to e-mail, fax to print, fax to file share, e-mail to fax; integration with an EMR or similar applications; and troubleshooting server issues like dialing rules, SMTP gateway issues, etc.
  • Understanding of networking technologies and use of network capture troubleshooting tools.
  • Familiar with server hardening methodologies and practical implementation experience.
  • Knowledge of Hybrid, Cloud, and Multi-cloud strategies and governance for such vendors as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
