Qualifications:

Systems Architect:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline or an equivalent combination of education and additional related experience in technical support.
  • Professional support experience (typically 7 years or more) performing the following:
    • Supporting Windows Server managing multiple applications in a large organization.
    • Installing and supporting two or more of the following: Active Directory, Microsoft Certificate Services, ADFS, Azure AD Connect.
  • Extensive knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Working knowledge of certificate authorities and certificate validation.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows Security policy.
  • Strong willingness and ability to learn new technologies and skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective strategies for working with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and teamwork skills (including with technical peers.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience supporting Microsoft Certificate Services.
  • Extensive experience supporting Azure AD (Entra ID) and Microsoft 365.
  • Extensive experience writing PowerShell modules.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with configuration management using enforced desired state tools such as DSC or Puppet.
  • Basic knowledge of the Internet Standards process.
  • Working knowledge of and experience using version control technologies (such as git).

Senior Systems Administrator:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline or an equivalent combination of education and additional related experience in technical support.
  • Professional support experience (typically 5 years or more) performing the following:
    • Supporting Windows Server managing multiple applications in a large organization.
    • Installing and supporting one or more of the following: Active Directory, Microsoft Certificate Services, ADFS, Azure AD Connect.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Working knowledge of certificate authorities and certificate validation.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Security policy.
  • Strong willingness and ability to learn new technologies and skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and teamwork skills (including with technical peers.)

Desirable Qualifications:

IT Services intends to hire for one position at either the Systems Architect or Senior Systems Administrator level. The level and classification hired will be based on the qualifications of the successful candidate.
