Windows System Administrator
Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Extensive knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office support tools available on the desktop (e.g., calendaring, word processing, e-mail, presentation software, and spreadsheets).
- Eligibility to work on ITAR, EAR, and NIST-compliant projects.
- Knowledge of and practical experience with configuring and securing servers, desktops and applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a strong focus on customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical staff.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Windows server operating systems (i.e., Server 2012, Server 2016, Server 2019).
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate technology proposals and analyze system specifications from technical, financial, and integration perspectives.
- Experience supporting: Windows 11, 10, 7.
- Experience scripting (PowerShell, vbscript)
- Experience with MS SQL server, AWS/Azure cloud computing.
- Experience with security systems relevant to computer systems and networks, notably Active Directory authentication, use of certificates, and implementation / administration of Group Policy, LDAP.
- Experience with and knowledge of organizational structures, workflows, and operating procedures in a technology environment.
- Project management experience.
