Application Developer/Social Media Manager - Pathology
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or MIS, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 years of experience designing, developing and maintaining large scale data driven web applications in a professional, academic or health care environment.
- Working experience with Drupal or other CMS platforms.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL including knowledge of database modeling and principles of database design.
- Working experience with web development programming languages (including JavaScript) and frameworks.
- Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system.
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills, including the ability to effectively communicate highly technical concepts to all audiences and to demonstrate receptivity to constructive feedback from content developers, editors, and leadership staff.
- Knowledge of best practices for web accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
- Working experience with use of Social Media Platforms in the professional workplace.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with digital storytelling.
- Experience with PHP and jQuery.
- Experience with photography.
- Knowledge of University of Iowa policies and procedures.
